Take a mini vacation. Spend the day playing 18 holes of golf at the Sloan Golf Course with this Deal of the Day.
The Sloan Golf Course is a 9-hole course with a par of 36; you would need to play it twice to have 18 holes. There are 3 sets of tee markers, red-women, gold-men, and blue-championship.
The course is very flat with sand bunkers on 4 of the 9 holes. It will allow you to spray the ball off the tee a little, but some old trees make it a little more difficult if you do. There are some so-called no-mow areas (where the grass can be as tall as a foot) on the course that come into play on 8 of the 9 holes.
Since Sloan Golf Course is located just west of town, it's rather open. When the wind blows it makes play much more difficult. But what keeps most golfers coming back is the difficulty in putting on these greens! There isn't a straight putt anywhere and each of the greens has plenty of undulation, so a 3-putt is very common.
It's a course for all levels of play.
Sloan Golf Course also has a clubhouse, which offers sandwiches, a Mexican night, a Wings Night and a bar.
If you've been playing golf in all the same spots, mix it up a little by trying the Sloan Golf Course.
